National Awards to Volunteers in Irish Sport

Sport benefits enormously from the contribution of individual volunteers and the first programme of National Awards to Volunteers in Irish Sport was successfully held in 2007. The Awards recognise and encourage the work of volunteers and reach out to potential new volunteers. The 2009 Awards scheme has now been advertised with a view to presentation of awards in January 2010. Nominations for the Awards can be made by individuals or clubs on-line at www.volunteersinsport.ie. The closing date for the receipt of nominations for the 2009 Awards is 5.00pm on Friday 23rd October 2009.
