Parliamentary Questions
Parliamentary Questions (PQs) are asked by Deputies (members of Dáil Eireann) and provide the Minister with regular opportunities to report publicly on matters for which they are responsible. Consequently, PQs are normally both topical and timely.
Oral Questions
These are Questions put to the Minister which are answered orally during Question Time. Both Questions and Answers are published in book form in the Official Report of Parliamentary Debates in Dáil Eireann but are also published on the website of the Houses of the Oireachtas within 24 hours (see links to Oral PQs below). Ministers answer oral PQs approximately every five weeks while the dáil is in session.
Written Questions
These are Questions put to the Minister which are answered in a written reply on most days that the Dáil is sitting. Again, the Questions and Answers are published in the Official Report and within 24 hours on the Oireachtas website. To locate the required PQs, select the relevant year directly below and then select the relevant date.
